Hello,

My name is Zeba Syed.  I am a board-certified Internal medicine physician with over 15 years of experience in the field.  I did my Internal medical residency in NY and then moved to CT in 2010.

What is an Internist?

Internists are doctors who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. They provide comprehensive care and act as primary care physicians for adults, managing a wide range of medical conditions, from common illnesses to complex, chronic diseases. Internists focus on the whole patient, and consider various factors that may affect their health. They may also refer patients to specialists when needed to coordinate  their overall healthcare.

I have been a proud resident of Cheshire since 2010, where both my sons were born and educated.  My husband is also an Internist, and is the owner of Grand Medical New Haven and has been caring for the New Haven community for a number of years.

I have had a diverse career, working primarily as a hospitalist at Masonicare and most recently at Gaylord as a NEMG/Yale affiliate , and briefly as a Principal Physician for the State; managing a wide range of medical conditions in settings such as acute care, short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and psychiatry units.

My upbringing and education have taken me around the world, experiencing various international backgrounds and boarding schools. Outside of medicine, I’m passionate about biking and hiking, often exploring the scenic wonders of New England, including the beautiful linear trail where you will often find me riding! I also enjoy traveling as it provides opportunities for adventure, relaxation, and personal growth.

I am eager to be your primary care physician and help you improve your well-being, both inside and out.

My name is Will Stone, a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse; part of the team here at Grand Medical Cheshire.



With a little over 2 years of experience in the field, I’ve had the privilege of caring for patients in various healthcare settings at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford. I believe in the power of patient-centered care, and I work tirelessly to ensure that each individual I encounter receives the personalized attention they deserve. 

A little bit about me:

I studied Criminal Justice at Curry College where I earned my bachelors degree. A short time after I studied at Goodwin University where I went through an accelerated program to earn my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Ever since I was a little kid I’ve always dreamed of being in the medical field helping those in need. 

Hobbies:

Welcome to my world beyond the stethoscope and scrubs! When I’m not in the healthcare realm, I’m pursuing two of my greatest passions: golf and fly fishing. As a golfer, I find solace on the green, where every swing is a chance to challenge myself and improve my skills. The golf course is where I embrace both competition and camaraderie. It’s a sport that teaches patience, precision, and a love for the outdoors. When I’m not on the fairway, you’ll often find me somewhere on the water with a fly rod in hand. Fly fishing is more than just a hobby; it’s a tranquil escape that connects me with nature. The art of casting a line, reading the water, and outsmarting fish is a source of relaxation and rejuvenation for me.

I  recently had a physical with Dr.Syed. She has a kind demeanor and is very easy to talk to.  The new office is beautiful. It was the most comfortable I have felt at a Doctor’s office in years.
